whatever happened to the love story between Onizuka and Fuyutsuki? Are we supposed to forget about it?

Love story?

Hoping that one day Fujisawa will write a series that focuses on Onizuka's quest to finally lose his virginity and brings back all his love interest.

This. It's his time now. Seriously. I have been hoping for that for quite a while. I believe I even made a thread about it.

So I haven't read much (hoping for a licence), but do we get any recurring characters? Like some of his older students? Anything?

Good news for you Real1! In the latest chapter, a certain ex-student and her manager make an appearance!

Whos the long hair guy that visits Ryuji's shop?

Is he someone from Shonan Junai Gumi?

Not sure, not confirmed until next episode. If I had to guess, I'd say he looks a bit like

Spoiler:
Fumiya?

That's a bummer. Don't tell me he's gonna launch another project!

And I was right! That long haired guy turned out to be who I thought it was!

Is there a source website for these news?

If you follow the link that Ugly Pig posted, it's from animenewsnetwork.com, a daily manga and anime related news website.

Well, a half a year break is pretty big for a weekly series... Something must be up. Does Fujisawa simply need a break? Or does he have another twenty new projects he wants to get started? Or does he possibly want to do a new volume of Ino-Head Gargoyle (or even GT-R??) before continuing with GTO? I suppose we'll find out.

Heh. I knew he'd bring back older characters sooner or later, but I didn't expect him to go all the way back to early SJG... :shock:

Good to see Fumiya back. He made a short appearance in S14D if people recall.

His role was super short here though... I wonder if it's just a teaser of more to come in the future? I feel like this whole thing got resolved a little too quickly. I guess there was kind of a hint that this big boss of the show business world is going to play a bigger role in the future, and I assume Fumiya will be involved in that somehow too?

Wow B_L, you're right. I was just rereading S14D and it even states that he was the CEO of Tokyo Talent Productions in S14D.

@RealOne
I buzz around from time to time :)

@nosajj
Yep, I really hope he'll have more of a role in these series, would be great. Imagine Onizuka going head to head to him if he finds himself having to defend that guy who controls the entertainment industry. Remember Fumiya is pretty tough, not far from Onizuka and Ryuji's level I'd say, so he could put up quite a fight if he's still in shape after all these years.
