Why PTO? "Prisoner Teacher" the fuck? Where is "Great"??

HOOOOOLY shit. Wonder if that's just a part of the storyline, or if that's the premise of the entire manga? Wait, how is he gonna be a teacher in prison? Do they have schools in prison??

I think it might me a reforming school for the under-aged? I'd prefer a story with full-grown men though, it would be brutal!

This actually sounds really cool! I love prison drama's and such. I don't think he will be a teacher in its literal sense, but rather teach inmates life-lessons.

I dunno if that's how it'll be but I'd LOVE if that was the case.

IF THIS IS ANOTHER MIDQUEL, I GIVE UP ON GTO. maybe.

Wow actually looks pretty interesting.

No chance of Onizuka losing his virginity now. Unless it's his anal virginity...

Everything that was written is pretty vague. On one hand it says he's imprisoned, and then its saying he's a teacher in prison. We'll just have to see, I am guessing we'll see a raw for this on the net next week.

And the PTO thing is just a funny tagline in the advert. At most it might be like the time he referred to himself as GDO - great driver onizuka, when he was driving that truck. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The series is still called GTO after all.

Ya I understand why they said that, I don't understand why they took the "Great" out of it ;)

Oh nice, where did you get those? Is there a full raw somewhere?

You can read the whole 1st chapter on the Young Magazine website here.

The chapter's title is "The reason why I came here".

I think the story of this manga will mostly be made up of a long flashback of how he actually got into prison.

Spoiler:
The chapter ends with him starting to tell his story to an inmate. He talks about how he was teaching a HIGH SCHOOL class, class G, as an assistant homeroom teacher. I think this officially takes place after GTO guys. Seems he moved from Holy Forest. These were his new students:

I'm assuming the woman with the glasses was the head homeroom teacher. It seems he's in prison for "doing something to one of his students"...

Well well well, Fujisawa........ It seems you made my panties wet.

This is exactly what I want.

How old is Onizuka here?

I renamed the thread, since it's pretty clear now that this is a proper sequel to GTO and no mere spin-off. I would also like to move discussion into the GTO universe section where it rightfully belongs, but there isn't an appropriate forum for it - any admins want to take care of that?

Yep, and it's chapter 1, not "Lesson". Seems Fujisawa is breaking with tradition...

Probably. But since the entire chapter is about Onizuka in prison, I have a feeling we'll return to that time and get some follow-up later. I don't see why Fujisawa would devote the entirety of the first chapter to that situation otherwise, I mean for S14D the "present" day part was only like a couple of pages before it went into the flashback.

I think you are right in that it takes place after GTO (and after S14D obviously) but him teaching High School doesn't necessarily mean he left Holy Forest... remember, they're both High School and Jr. High... Could go either way.

Yes and also, I think it's more "GTO style" if he ends up at a new school with a new class through some random circumstance rather than simply "Your class graduated, here's your new one" so I think you're right. Also if I'm understanding it right, he's saying he met class G a year prior to the present day prison scenes? If so, then it has been at least a couple of years since GTO.

Damn, I want to see this translated so bad...
