After re-reading GTO lately, I realized some characters were not as fleshed out as they could have been. For example, Yuuki. Right now you're probably trying to remember who he was in the first place.

It was the guy with the Yakuza dad who became a shut-in. I found him to be pretty interesting, but we barely see him. It would be cool to get some more backstory or chapters focusing only on him.

Who do you wish had more character development?

i agree with you, when you said "who you wanted to see more, 1st thing in my mind was Yuuki" but also it would be great to see some of the other old school members of the class that left before onizuka came.

Takumi would be nice to have more info on as well. There could be plenty to work with in a GTO 2.

you know what i would really love to see? His students grown up, their lifes and stuff. How having Onizuka in their class changed their lifes.
And idk which one but Fujisawa could choose a student and make him like Onizuka's "legacy" letting him continue onizuka's job in other schools and stuff like that.

im not sure how to exactly explain my self with the story

ya i was thinking about Yoshikawa or Murai
but mostly Yoshikawa, cause you know he was kinda weak when he met Onizuka and in the future he could be like some badass teacher with eikichi's teaching skills :lol::lol:

Call me crazy but i think Onizuka should have more. Yes im serious. some chapetsr should deal with him and his problems rather than the students'.

That'd be kinda nice actually... Although, I think his characters shows just fine the way it is.

Hey that's an interesting idea. I guess Fujisawa and the GTO team thought we probably got enough of that in Shonan Jun'ai Gumi though, but I agree that it would have been nice to have a couple of chapters centered more on Onizuka rather than Onizuka helping XX.

Ya i thought the same as well, SJG was almost full of Onizuka's stories so they focused GTO on his 'career'

It's interesting that you would pick Yuuki the Hikkikomori (it seems you have an interest in this area), don't forget Eikichi's own otaku like qualities, except like I like to say "he is an otaku about life". I love reading slice of life stories about otaku and as for the seminal manga about otaku you can't beat Genshiken for its ability to expose varying aspects of the otaku lifestyle through different characters with each specializing in the different aspects of being an otaku.
