Just saw Confessions directed by Tetsuya Nakashima.

Fucking epic.
That's all I have to say. Go see it.

I've seen Princess Mononoke and Ponyo. I'd recommend seeing PM and Ponyo had more gateway anime potential, though I couldn't get into it. Better than any of Hayao Miyazaki's films is Grave of the Fireflies, directed by Isao Takahata and made by the same studio as Miyazaki's other films Studio Ghibli.

Tekken The Live Action Movie

Image

I'm going to put my hands up and admit I love films or live actions based on video games. Obviously I was worried with the dialogue and casting however Tekken was actually a fun film.
The first 30 mins were zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
And before I praise the only best bits of this movie Tekken was a let down...
Having said that (lol) The dark gritty setting of "Tekken" city and plot was actually quite believable. The Arena and fights were great and hardly any special effects used for a change. Most importantly the story was ok following story arcs from the Tekken series and when I got to the end I was satisfied with how it rounded up.
Alot of fan service chucked in for good measures too :3 Nina. Anna, Christina... WOW!

A shame I was too focused on when they would pop back on screen than the plot lol.
Disappointingly not every character is in it like my favourite Asuka, Ling Xaioyu and the best of em all PAUL PHOENIX. Atleast Gary Daniels a former British Kick Boxing champion portrayed Bryan really well. Always my favourite martial artist even though he did star as Ken from Street Fighter 2 in City Hunter.
The biggest let down was the lead character playing Jin Kazama. Poor dialogue, lazy acting and hardly any character development. Very boring whenJon Foo as Jin would always pop up and iin one part dance horrible with the actress playing as Christina. - _ -
Overall it is a bad film simples :) It's only bad just because it was a low budget movie and hardly any effort to make it abit more interesting. But the film makes up for this with a decent plot, convincing cosplayed women, Bryan Fury and some great intense action. Sadly I wouldn't bother watching it again but would skip to the Nina, Anna and Chrstina bits (and Bryan Fury).

Next I'm going to catch the Fatal Fury film. Let's Go!

Inception

And I've got to say I didn't understand everything, but it was a good movie!

Tell me, at the end is he sleeping or not?

Spoiler:
Michael Caine hinted on a recent BBC Radio interview that his character could be the one who helped or guided Di Capreo on accepting the fact he would be more happier with his children instead of regretting that it was his fault he got Molly to commit suicide. He also hinted that Di Capreo was dreaming all along since at the end he doesn't wear his wedding ring (he was wearing it throughout the film) and that Caine was the archetect (the one who built his dream like the maze bit in the movie). Therefore everything in the movie could be Di Capreo in "limbo" the dream world where he is stuck for infinity and is trying to wake up. Other clues to this theory:

The part where he goes around the world recruiting his team seemed like it all happened too hastely since he was all the way in Japan then in France etc.
The men chasing him in Mombasa could be the "projections" of Dicapreo trying to stop him from waking up.
The train appearing out of nowhere to try and stop him (not the rich dude dreaming)
Wasn't able to complete his mission at the start of the movie which he regretted.
The Totem belonged to Molly - refering to the problems he had letting go of her.
Molly popping up in every dream world - his projection. If it were someone elses dream how could she just appear as if it was Di Capreos dream?

Overall in regards to the ending I'm not too sure as it's open for interpretation. But it's just some theories I've read and discussed with a very good friend of mined who loves Di Capreo as an talented actor lol.

Spoiler:
I think not. It ended that way just to "tease" the audience a little, I think. After all, they kinda had to do something to make us go "Whoa!" at the end. :D

Buried.

A movie about a guy in a coffin.

You never see anything else for over 90 minutes. Great, epic, and very sad movie. Look it up.
Also, first movie I have seen in a year!

Le Grand Bleu (The Big Blue), it's always a good moment for an old school classic movie!
