Hi, I am fat. I mean really fat. Morbidly obese, at 141,7kg.

IT'S TIME TO CHANGE

I have become really worried about my health and am now taking drastic risks to get back down to 100kg.

I have ordered a WII FIT U + BALANCE BOARD AND FIT METER.

This will help me exercise, and keep track of how I'm doing.

What I will basically use this thread for is to show my accomplishments and have you cheer me on! With the help of Wii Fit U. A better diet, and people cheering me on. I can change this bad trend and make me okay again!

I will update in this topic when I meet certain accomplishments and such. Perhaps uploading screenshots from Wii Fit U that shows graphs of how I'm doing.

IT IS TIME TO CHANGE. IT IS TIME TO FIX WHAT IS BROKEN.

Is this gonna be like my manga recommendations thread? Because if it is, I will just delete this shit. ._.

I thought this would generate more reactions and perhaps positive/negative vibes (both which would be helpful because if you think I can't make it, I will want to prove you wrong)... The least you could do is vote......... Granted I put that poll as a sort of test. If you didn't vote, you didn't do so because you think I can't make it but want to shut up about it. Fair enough. Poll removed.

Awesome, man! I'm happy you are taking these steps - the weight loss is one thing, but I'm sure this will also help to make you feel better, and feel better about yourself. I for one would love to see your progress.

What was the poll btw? I didn't read this topic before now so I missed it completely.

Poll was basically asking whether or not I can lose 41,7kg. Nobody voted ._.

Huh, I imagined you had read this topic as it had 10 views which is way more than our active members, lol.

Anyways! Thanks for the support! It's appreciated. I should get my Wii Fit U tomorrow or so... I will post all the stats and graphs, and whathaveyou from that here so we can see how much progress I actually make/don't make over the course of months, even years if that's what it takes.

Ah, I see. Well, I would've voted "yes".

Nope. I guess views from guests count too?

I'm 42 years old. That's how old my body is compared to my age.

I have a BMI around the same number as my age. I am obese and my Mii is fat as fuck.

I've set a goal to lose 10kg at first within 3 months!

Wii Fit U is pretty ruthless. But it also sets clear goals to be able to get back to where I should be.

I almost forgot the initial-weigh-in... I stand at 137kg. Meaning that my goal is now changed to lose 37kg.

I trained so hard today that I could not move my body anymore. I will keep at it.. If I just find the spirits to do so.

Good, so you're definitely being serious about it (not that I suspected otherwise). Maybe be careful not to do too much too soon? I don't know if you're supposed to ease into these things or what.

I'm supposed to take it slow at first. It even warned me about that... I didn't stop though because at the time of doing it, I got some kind of rush. Too bad I gotta be freakin' ill right now.

Sounds great man.

Here are some tips for you:

  • Don't overdo yourself, all you have to do is exercise for a while to raise your metabolism
  • Drink water, it's one of the key elements of raising your metabolism
  • Start eating properly (avoid saturated fat)
  • Start reading and watching material that will explain to you how to lose weight (for example: https://www.youtube.com/user/yelkaim1)
  • Losing weight and getting healthy is pretty much the same, so don't try to lose weight on the expense of your health

ps: I didn't notice a poll either

I realize I overdid myself yesterday as I can barely move today  . My upper body is especially hurting. Fucking Yoga lessons man. It moved way too fast for me to keep up, even on Beginner.

Water is being drinked. Especially now that I can't afford much else. :x

Food, (and drink, especially since I'm addicted to caffeine) is the biggest problem. Over the years I've had it ingrained in my brain to start eating something while watching shit on my PC. Trying to break this tradition, or eating something like a carrot or banana instead of candy or whathaveyou is actually really hard! But I am trying.

I'm really trying to read and listen to people's advice this time. Other times I've basically ignored everyone but this time I do what I can as now I'm really worried about my health.

Thanks for the support man! It's greatly appreciated

EDIT: Today's weigh-in: Lost 0,9kg. But yesterday I took the test after lunch, today I tested before breakfast even.

Burned over 600 calories today just from taking a long fucking walk.

Wii Fit Meter measures everything I do out there and can even sense the altitude and change calories burned accordingly.

Eating carrots, and some meat as food.

I DID buy a can of cola because please have mercy on me.

Lol, you can eat junk food once in a while, just don't overdo it.

You might find this weird but I've been weighting myself everyday for the past 1 year and I've learnt quite a few things from it.
Try to weight yourself right after you wake up (do pee first though).

Avoid eating right before you sleep cause you won't manage to burn the calories of the food you just ate (unless your stomach hurts, you don't wanna lose weight but ruin your stomach in the process).

Also, drinking water is good for you but be careful cause it also can ruin your kidneys (if you really overdo it, do some research and see how much water you are supposed to drink daily).

I just woke up so my brain isn't functioning yet, I will leave these here for now and maybe return later to add more tips.

I'm checking my weight AND posture every morning since Wii Fit U.

Shit's actually pretty good at keeping you going.

"Lack of persistence is no problem for you, is it Real1?"

Currently standing at 1kg lost since I began. I found rowing and cycling to be the best activities for me. Those are the only ones I'm good at too.

I also try my best to go for extra walks.
